My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4:6.
Purpose: Encourage believers to use Scripture in decision making to avoid involving themselves in these culture wars.
As the American democracy (so called) is being shredded, an autocrat is conditioning the country for autocracy. The Constitution is irrelevant now so I want to remind born again believers in Jesus Christ that we are citizens of an eternal kingdom that is ruled by the eternal God, who has all power and authority over the authorities and governments of this world. The church in American must see this as a wake-up call. We have too long engaged in fighting culture wars and not spent enough time proclaiming the Gospel. I am encouraging fellow believers to revisit Jesus’ ministry in the Gospels. He did not come to fight or oppose anyone or anything, but to do the will of His Father, die as a substitute for the sin of believers in the Gospel. All the issues that are confronting us today existed during His ministry. He did not affirm or disrespect any government nor preach against any sin except the sin of unbelief. We must use His work as an example of obedience, submission, and purpose to win as many for the Kingdom of God as possible. The Power is on our side. Jesus has won the war now we must not continue to lose battles.
These are critical times in human history when those who wish to thrive and grow must be able to think for themselves. Be able to recognize and face reality and view situations from a biblical point of view. Our world today is at a cross roads where the Body of Christ must decide which path it will take. We must sift through lies and alternative facts that clouds the mind that is unaware of the dark place the world has entered. Bible readers must recognize our circumstances and know how to apply what they read to enable them to stand on the Word of God. We must present the Gospel so that unbelievers will see the hope they have always sought.
The church must be able to lead people out this darkness into God’s marvelous light through the power of the Word of God. The Bible provides principles and guidelines that will enable us to stand in these troublous times. I have chosen some verses that I believe will assist us as we begin to allow the Holy Spirit to use the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Engage in Scripture and prepare yourself to do battle with the spiritual forces of this darkness.
This secular leadership is governing by deception. Evangelicals who participated in electing a pathological Lier must think seriously about what Scripture says about liars. They make accusations without evidence, and gullible people believe them.
Facts matter and there is only one truth, God is.
I have chosen the following passages of Scripture to serve as a guide as you engage Scripture for yourselves. I sincerely pray that the Holy Spirit will mobilize an army of believers to stand against the forces of evil that has invaded the modern church and is threatening to neutralize us to the point of unfruitfulness for God’s glory and Kingdom. First,
Think Before You Decide – Hosea 4:6.
Engage Scripture – Meditate Psalm 1:2
Look intently into the Word James 1:25
Apply Wisdom Proverbs 1:1-7
Anchor Yourself in the Word for Spiritual Warfare Ephesians 6:10-13
Accept God’s Presence and Power 2 Timothy 1:7
Application
People are lost. Believers must study Scripture to grasp the seriousness of the spiritual condition of unbelievers. They have no hope, they are condemned to eternity without the presence of the Living God. As a result they will be sentenced to an eternity in the Lake of Fire. God’s response to the human condition is found in John 3:16, 17 and in 2 Corinthians 5:19 Paul affirms God’s commitment to His plan of salvation for all who obey the Gospel.
With this in mind, we must pray for the salvation of those who are part of the current administration to be saved. Pray that those believers who are near these leaders would look beyond their admiration of the leader and be concerned that he is on his way to hell unless Jesus Christ comes into his heart and saves him.
Since the Holy Spirit is still in the world, He will empower the Gospel to change all our leaders from the inside for all eternity and they can become fruitful for the Kingdom of God. If believers repent and seek forgiveness for our negligence the Lord will forgive us and return power to the church and we can once again turn the world upside down.
“The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 NASB
